Row 1. 3ch turn.

Make one face relief stitch by inserting the hook under the right overlap stitch of the tick of the previous row.
Then knit a 3hdc, 1ch, 3hdc shell into the chain between the check mark posts
Make one face relief stitch, inserting the hook under the left overlap stitch of the tick of the previous row and not finishing it to the end, make another one under the next tick. When there are three loops on the hook, knit them together, knit the shell again and repeat as described above.
Next, alternate knitting the first and second rows.
